Not much you can do with them. I've had some luck with Mothers mag & alluminum polish and in between using a blue out product.

Here is one I have used, seems to work fairly well.

I've used this one with good results. Expect to use some patience and elbow grease.

SOS pads work good for me......you will still have some color but when the color is shinney ....looks good to me

This approach will definitely scratch the chrome. The blue outs will remove some surface but keep the luster of the chrome.

Instead of blankaway it should be called  CHROMEAWAY cause that's what they all do.

Remove some chrome, that is!

Closer to rust and that's for sure.

If your not satisfied with cleaning and polishing, try chrome powder coating.

Hey Bugslayer, I used Blue Job on my header pipes and it took the Blue as well as the yellow off pretty well with using a lot of elbow grease as well. However I really haven't run the bike much since so I dont know if the blue will come back and continue to be problem. The chrome powder coating sounds like it might be an option but I dont know much about it. Where do you get that procedure done? Any links? Thanks, jaybird.

Hawkeye, I would just take the parts to a professional and see what product he/she has available to do the job. Another thing that some have done to prevent/minimize bluing or to lessen discoloration is to ceramic coat the inside of their headers before rechroming or chrome powder coating.
