I found hidden damage when taking bike apart.  Left side trunk light assembly was crunched in the accident.

I had ordered a new one from HDL and now they tell me it is back ordered.

Anyone possible have one?

Hoping to have trunk and bags back from painter soon and would like to get it back together.

I wish I had seen this before I went over to Phyllis's yesterday.  I would have brought one from my flooded bike, at least for a temp fix.  It's green, not black, but it would get you on the road, and maybe you can scavenge the black part from your damaged unit.  We can talk via PM if you want to pursue this option.

Tail light came in today.  Was very surprised.

Now if paint gets finished then I can get to work putting things back together.

Better hurry, days are getting longer, spring is coming, you don't want to miss out on a trip.

P.S.  I guess you know by now but that small strip between the tail lights is not connected to the trunk.  I don't know if it is part of the light or just screwed to it, but it comes out with the lights.

Better late than never....

It is a separate piece.  Attached with two screws.
