Removed my tank today and the small rear vent/drain hose snapped. Bought a 2ft piece as a replacement. What I did not realize is other is a T in the middle of that drain hose. Where or what does the center T attach to?
Just ordered my Clymer's today. Only had my 1999  standard for three weeks now.

Should be installed.  It is a vac break, so that if water or dirt plugs the bottom end of the hose, you still have a place for air to get in the tank.

In other words, nothing attaches to the side of the T.

Be real careful when you put the tank back on so you don't pinch or kink that hose.  That is a "common problem" (if there is any common problems with the Valk).  If the hose doesn't vent properly, it will feel like you are running out of gas, etc.

Years ago, when cleaning under the tank and around the battery box one winter, I found that "T" and being smarter than the Engineers that designed the system, I took it out. Wink

First passing rain storm I hit, showed me, I'm not all that smart after all. Embarrassed

She stalled on the interstate and after waiting a while, she started back up and I made my destination.

Got home, re-installed the vent "T".
