Bike has 50,000 miles on it. I just removed the front wheel to install a new tire and while it is off, I measured the rotor thickness. 0.178 left, 0.181 right which is approximately 4.5mm. Minimum thickness is 4.0 mm

What is the "as new thickness" and how many more miles do ya'll think I have left in these??

TIA

FLAVALK the honda service manual gives 5.0 mm as new ,limit of 4.0 mm for servicable front rotor thikness. methinks we should all check ours. but wait, Smiley will the demand ike the price of rotors? Smiley

Well, then it would seem that I have about another 50,000 miles worth of rotors left before I need replacements. I realize it all depends on driving habits/conditions.

Thanks for the info

My rotors were mic'd at 4 MM. 106K on the ODO. Half done at 50K sounds right.

Mine were hovering around 3mm when I bought it at 49K miles.  The previous owner commuted in Dallas/Fort Worth.

Riding here in ND vs in a city, I may just go 500,000 or more!  LOL
How many miles just does not apply, it is how it is used.  Even in town, some will go screaming up to a stop, and yank on the brakes, others will kind of coast in, and use little brake.
