Charlene and I are coming down to TX in Jan. We are going to the FCS Bowl game in Frisco, TX on Jan. 5. Go NDSU Bison, last years Champions, looking to repeat.
We are then heading south to the area between Houston and LA for a while. Then maybe on south of Houston along the coast toward Brownsville.
We are bringing the toyhauler, with the IS sidecar rig in back!
Looking for any rides or get togethers to attend.
Hope to see some of you soon.

I live on the NE side of Houston. If you need a place to park the hauler during the day, let me know.
Not sure when the Houston dinner meeting will be for January but keep an eye out for Lyn-Del or one of the others to post it up.

just a suggestion, but if you have time to head to brownsville, (unless that's where you're snowbirding) you may want to ride out to the hill country instead. imo, anything south of the rockport/corpus coast area is long and flat and....long. maybe hit galveston and ride the coast down to port lavaca and then head nw to new braunfels, boerne area, the counties of comal and kendall and around. some of the best riding ever. just a 2 cent suggestion, not knowing about a bigger traveling picture for yall.

Thanks for the ideas. Been thru some of that area while driving truck. Hoping to look around. Trying to "semi" retire from the farm during the winter. Looking for areas we like. Warm enough to ride in. In the next coming winters, plan to spend time in AZ, NM, even CA! We have been in FL some in winter. Like it there, but want to move around some. Any and all advice is appreciated! We love seafood. Hard to get any good stuff here in ND! One reason we like to be near the coast. This year, we will have our 5 year old grandson along in the sidecar. He will be full time school next year, so want to make the best of this year with him. He and his mom live with us, so more like a son than grandson. He has his own helmet, with intercom, so he can talk with us as we travel. MP

If you are riding and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

And I'm not far from Texas State Highway 35, which runs South near the coast.

Hey MP, If you do decide to head to the Texas Hill Country, please don't hesitate to message me or any of the other CenTexers. We don't need an excuse to get out on the beautiful scenic roads around here! Also, if you're looking to really get out a bit, the Three Sisters (FM335, FM336, and FM337) near Leakey offer about as good of riding as it gets anywhere. I've taken our toy hauler to the area and stayed at a place called River View RV in Concan. You can park right on the Rio Frio River with full hook-ups. It is situated across from Garner State Park amongst the big cypress trees and you can take day rides from there. Charlie

US77 near La Grange is nice, just stay away from the chicken ranch! Gonna stop by on your way down? I'll buy dinner. Hoser

Oh, my daughter is in her last year at Sam Houston State University, and they will be in Frisco as well. They will be participating in the championship game against North Dakota. They lost to North Dakota last year.

Too far east. Cannot leave until Wed, as Jan. 1 is my daughters Bday. Need to go straight south. You need to come on down, and stay with us. We have two beds, and a seperate 1/2 bath in the garage for you. MP
