Wife got me the Mounted jack/lift adapter off E-bay. I will definitely get my use out of this. Honda should have put this on as a oem item. Makes life easier.

Just remember that the bolts you have to loosen are holding the side stand onto the bike. Put her up on jack stands under the front engine guards so you don't dump the bike (I figured this out just before it happened to me).

Jack stands and straps to the jack can't be too careful.

I bought one of those about 2 months ago.
Works great and convenient since it gets left on all the time.

Also makes the angle of the bike more of an upright when leaning on the stand.

Careful on bigger speed bumps, you can high center on some of them. I suppose you could damage the cross member some, but the feeling in your gut when it happens is astounding!

Chiko and I both have them on our bikes, use them a lot. Most of the time we don't even strap the bikes down, they make for a pretty sturdy platform. If we are going to be doing a lot of jerking around on things we do strap em down. I.E. rear end maintenance.

Oh yeah, a big 10-4 on watching out and going slow over speed bumps. I hit one in Oregon last two summers ago that I thought was going to tear out the cross member. I made the mistake of going through the junction between two sections, which makes the bike even lower to them and hung up on the ends.

A friend and I put this adapter on our Valks last spring. I modified mine by bolting ( did not want to weld on the powder coat) another piece of 1" square tubing on the front of the base to give a larger area for the jack stand, makes it easier to balance the bike. This is a "must have" for easy tire removal. I also made one for another Valk friend and used a piece of 1"x2" for the base. The wider area to set on the jack is better IMO. I haven't felt the need for strapping yet but that depends on what you're doing on the bike.
