Got it marked on the calendar... prolly just ride out Sat Morning, that's a bit too close for me to spend the night.

Good news is, over the break Carrie (The wifu! ) got on the MC for the first time ever. Low and slow around SM... low and slow.  I might be able to talk he into coming along.

Can I invite folks?

Invite them.  Santa Chuck already has a route planned for our Saturday ride.  No, I don't know any details on the ride as yet.

I just checked my social caledar and I should be able to come up. I also googled the hotel and was surprised how many guest had bad things to say about it. I am not acustom to plush so it should be great. I will check with the Mrs tonight and see if I can get locked in.

Got my room reserved without a hitch. Hope they do not share my Credt card info with the world.

Welcome back again, Bzar.

Trailering the bike down?  Just checking.

I don't have any count as yet.  Just got back from a week in Cozumel.  Waiting on painter to get trunk and bags back to me.  Seems the one bag had some very serious cracks all along the bottom.  He is having them ABS welded.  This should be a decent week with cooler weather and lower humidity.  Hoping it gets done soon.

I was down piddling around on it some today.  Got the new left trunk light fixture together and working.  Not being ridden for 3 1/2 months is frustrating me.  I tried to start it this morning and it cranked right up.

I love my Valkyrie.

I wish there was a break in the weather, in which case I would ride the Valk, but knowing Minnesota/Iowa temps (currently 5 below,) I will be trailering a bike, most likely the Vstrom because it is so much an easier tow for my current car.

OK, time is getting short.  Time to 'Git-r-dun'.

My son has suggested that all make arrangements for their own dinner tickets.  Check the Wild Game Dinner website and you can make purchases for dinner and raffle tickets there.  http://www.dswildgamedinner.com/

Going over the list seems to be a lot of uncertainty in some areas.  This is what I have compiled from those posting on the board.

US385South - probable - drive in from S.A. possibly with wife and/or others.
Marcus - possibly with wife
Brew1brew - coming but staying elsewhere
Disco - probable
Hayhauler - BJ possible
Kdog - unknown
Early Bird - Santa Chuck will be missing due to me giving him wrong date and medical conflicts.
f-stop - driving in from local
BZar - Paul coming down from Minnesota to join us again.

Anyone I am missing, please give me a heads up.

By the way, I have a spare bed I am now willing to sell for half of room cost.

So, since I'm staying in Georgetown, I'd like to know what time I should plan to meet you guys for the ride on Saturday. I'm assuming you'll just start from the motel or a close by restaurant.

Let me know, I'll be there.

I won't get off work Friday until 11:45pm.  That rules out a Friday departure and greatly hinders an early Saturday departure.  The forecast looks great at this point, so a 36-hour down and back sounds reasonable, but I'd probably just meet everyone at the dinner.

Good ride, Friends, Wild Game Dinner, Good Cause, Maria's Taco Express for Sunday breakfast...  Sounds enticing...  Hope it works out...

Picked up my trunk and bags today.

Not really happy with them, but putting bike back together anyway.

Funny how much you forget about what goes where in three months.  AFTER getting the liner back in trunk and lights and wiring in realized that there were some clips that needed to be installed on the back wall of the trunk to hang the rubber flap from.  I gave up this evening.  Hit it again tomorrow fresh pulling the liner back out.  So much fun.

See all at the Wild Game Dinner.  I am headed over on Thursday but with front coming through it may be a late start heading out.

Life is good.

All bags back on bike and bike is home.

Now to pack it up for the ride out tomorrow.

Think I will wait until the weather blows through though.

Really felt good to ride it home, even in the rain.  Been a long four months.

See you all in Austin.  Ride Safe.

Ray

I am going to have to bail out on you.  I am very sorry.   Been sick with the *** flu since Sunday and I thought for sure it would clear by now.  This is one thing I certainly do not want to share with the group!  Looks like the weather is going to be great, (first time in how many years?)  I am very sorry to be missing it.

Sorry that you can't make it, Steve.

Sorry too that Wizard won't be here.

Those who make it will just have to eat your share.

Look for you tomorrow evening, Jimmy.

I got here about 3:30 this afternoon.  Missed the rain and almost got hot riding in.  Was up to about 80 degrees by the time I arrived.  Bike is just purring.  I needed to get out and run after 4 months of sitting up.  Was great to finally get some wind.
