I did one for the std/tourer not the IS. http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,34551.0.htmlI've never seen inside the instrument panel on the IS, but if it's standard honda thinking, I would try the other 74xHp. You Might loose some of the light from the side LEDS only one way to find out. Buy all 3, take lots of photo's and post them up. It's the shipping that's expensive. Ride safe.

I swapped my dash lights out with LED's don't have easy access to my pictures working from my phone tonight. I will scrounge the pictures up tomorrow and post them up.
No real details other than what bulbs I ended up with and the color change. I stayed with White for the gauges and found a green that worked well to my likings for the main display plenty bright and easy on the eyes at night.
I think I have a couple pictures of the finished install showing the green main panel and white for the gauges.

I did this on my standard, as well. What a didfference. It didn't make them brighter, just seems much more clear. For me it made a big difference at dusk when it was hard to see the numbers. One of the best bang for the buck things.

Thanks for the link, knew it was posted, just could not locate it. Got enough ordered to do the dash and my external gauges. Tired of not being able to read them at night.

Sorry this took so long I can't seem to find a picture but I do have a video clip that you can see the Speedo and the center display panel.
Sorry that's the best I have right now. I can take a photo if you would like to see it straight on with both gauges and the display panel shown...

Did you change the indicator lights (high beam, neutral, etc.), too? Do you remember exactly which bulbs you used for each area (speedo/lcd/indicators)? Easy to get to? Thanks.

I took a few minutes to look around the web for the online store I purchsed mine from and low and behold I found it.... I will appologize I was wrong they are only 3 chip LED but they put out a little more lite than the stock bulbs I believe. Stock size is #74 wedge base. http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-vehicle-replacement-bulbs/74-led-bulb-3-smd-led-wide-angle-wedge-base/228/Looks like these are the exact LED's the "OP" was looking at, so yes these will work fine you may have to give the sockets a little squeeze to make sure the contacts are tight. And in my opinion the darker colored LED's (blue, red) are too dark/dim for the amount of space the light has to fill. I did try the Blue ones NOT enough useable light in my opinion, you mileage may vary. The bugger is you have to pull the entire fairing face off to get to them and it can get even worse if you have things like amps or horns or CC installed in your fairing but your situation will most likely be different than mine. Working from my phone currently, I will edit and update this the best I can when I get to the office tonight. The top of my message was just a copy and paste that I sent to another Valk brother in a message early this morning I did not edit it sorry.

fordmano, Thanks for the link! I would like to order the LED`s before I take the fairing apart. How many bulbs, of what colors, do I need to duplicate what you did?

It looks like I used 2 White and 2 Green there are only 4 bulbs accessible from the back side that I can see or remember removing. I put the green in the more center positions and the that leaves the white ones for the far outer positions,,,, If I remember the bulbs are safe to install in any direction but they only light up when installed the proper way so I would install all of them without the rubber plugs being put back in place and turn the key to see if they all light up then reverese the polarity on the ones that don't light up cant remember seeing any markings on the bike or the LED's to indicate which direction is correct. You can sort of see the 2 center black rubber plugs (there are 4 of these plugs 2 inner positioned and 2outer positioned) that you will have to remove to access the bulb socket /holder, they simply just unscrew a little and pop out. I had to use a pair of needle nose pliers since my fingers are fat and cramp up easy. Sorry about poor picture quality, it was dark out and the picture was taken with a cell phone.

Easy to get to, after you pull the fairing shell off. I only replaced the 4 bulbs that light up the speedo & tach the other indicator bulbs are all stock never even considered trying to dig that deep. The stock bulb size is listed as a #74 wedge base. I do not know if you can put a longer/taller bulb in place I did not measure just shot from the hip. Sorry about that.

I taught that it would be a little more involved, some soldering involved, etc. Looks like it is just a matter of replacing the bulbs, once you have the fairing off. Thanks for the info and the link.
