I have a line on a set of GL 1500 shocks.  Haven't seen them yet.  But there is no compressor.  If the airshock doesn't have the original hose and/or fitting on the shock, is that a cheap fix?  I was looking at those parts on a site with an OEM fische.  The price for the hose wasn't cheap.  Would I be able to get some fittings and hose cheap at Lowes?  Or is this all proprietary?

Thanks

My understanding is that you should be able to jury rig them with pressure hose and an air valve fitting. You can add a compressor if you want, but it's a home build kind of thing. Others will chime in I'm sure. MarkT has some advice, as does Fordmano. Search is your best friend.

The r/h is the air side, fitted with a schrader valve,, or small plastic air line going to a schrader valve ,, like car air shocks, under seat or whatever, you/we will only need a small hand air pump to adjust the ride, if needed, I have some on the way also. They are a little longer than stock shocks , 13-1/4" 13-3/8" center to center, compared to stock 13". I have about $65.00 into both shocks and they look like new, used very little, from trike conversions. cooldude

{ fitted=meaning I/ we will have to "fit" the schrader valve }    Smiley Smiley   I'm 6'1''  270#. So I think just enough air psi. in the air side to equalize with the spring side is all that will be needed. Its probably a little over kill for me, might be more of a trailer pulling or two up riders type mod.

My transaction is going agonizingly slow.  LOL I think the guy is only online once or twice a week to check his email.  We haven't cemented the deal yet.

Two Brothers racing 6 into 2.  They were on the bike when I got it.  Nice deep throat sound, like a Porsche with glasspacks.
