That bike is a tourer. Where is the windshield and the saddlebags?   uglystupid2

Kind of expensive to be called a project bike, it looks like it is ready to ride.

Agreed... not really talking about a major "on the lift for months" sort of project... but I'd want to clean it up a good deal and I could spend weeks just polishing the wheels.

6-guns... is the colour combo that makes you think it is a tourer or is it the mounting hardware for the windshield? I have a standard that was built in May of 97 and mine came with a factory windshield complete with Honda driving lights.  Could have bee added at the dealer level... but that is definitely a factory windshield bracket.

A Standard did not come from the factory with a stock windshield (and those brackets to me are from a stock shield too!). A Standard came from the factory with a reflector on each side of the rear fender above the chrome support and just below the seat.
That bike to me has "Tourer" written all over it.
Does need a new alternator cover too!

I like Hi res pics better but from those, not a bad looking bike

I'm not an expert on valkyrie's by any means, but I believe Dag's valkyrie site will back me up on this. ALL of the Pearl Jade and Green valkyrie's that I have ever seen (and I happen to have one) have all been tourers. He may have sold the windshield and hard bags before he put it up for sale. Just my opinion.     Smiley

I ain't questioning anyone's judgement... lawd knows you guys know way more than me.  Just trying to learn what to look for.  I looked at DAG's site too and that colourscheme tends to support your notion...  I bought my bike for this same dealer (pretty good folks by the way) and there were parts of mine missing... and other parts that didn't come with a standard, attached.  It has always puzzled me.

Nice looking ride though...
