Awesome story.  I hope I can feed myself at 89 years old... little alone drive over 3000 miles to a reunion!

She has such a vibrant spirit and was just a lot of fun.
I loved it when she was talking about having signed up for life time batteries and shocks and how many she had gotten out of that. I also love how she stands and shows them how/where to lube her chassis which is a skill most young guys probably wouldn't understand since the new frames don't require as much lube and maintenance as hers.
She has birthday parties for her car and they take pictures! Nice.

thanks for posting.

One of my friends - Jack - is near her age. Has over thirty (count 'em) antique motorcycles and half again as many cars. Newest he owns as far as cars is a '68 T-bird and with bikes it's a '75 GL1000.

Cumulatively, there are probably three million miles on his collection - most racked up by him and his late wife.

Jack still rides his '47 Indian (original), '65 Electra Glide (ditto) or his '15J ('semi-restored') to our local bike nights ...

I have an old frame, manufactured in the '30's by Italians mostly, and has millions of miles on it also. The body has more than a few dents in it along with the associated repairs, of which some are still visible. As for the motor, it's still running strong after a minor overhaul a little over seven years ago. If I can keep the sludge out of the oil lines the motor should last for a while longer. Just don't want it to break down while on the road, although I've had a few problems with the two filters the last couple years. They collect some debris from time to time that really clogs up their drains, causing extreme distress over the malfunction.  Wink
