It hurt me to store my valkrie in the storage shed this winter , but I've store other bikes out there so what the heck. I winterized it but the one thing I didn't think about was condensation . It was cold here for a month below freezing . Now it's up to 50 today and 60 tomorrow. I go out to the shed and everything that has solid metal or chrome is wet with condensation . I did whip it down but was unsure what to do. I did take a strong fan and set it up to blow on the motor mainly .Does this happen to anyone else .  I could get my last 5 bikes into the basement for winter and there's no way the valkrie is going through the door. I did have it covered may it would be better to leave it uncovered. How about the fan  any opinions .I know once the bike warms up the condensation will stop ,but the temp tends to go up and down like a yoyo. I can't wait for spring!!!. It will never sit in the shed again.

A misting of WD40 and covering your bike with an old bed sheet worked for me for years.
I now have a ventilated garage. cooldude

if theres enough head room. install a cheap ceiling fan in the shed and turn it on low. as long as the air is circulating and moving it should'nt condesate.
ever take notice that in the spring, summer and  fall as long as theres a breeze at night theres no dew on anything. works the same way with a ceiling fan.

Couple of inexpensive roof vent could/would help...... Most likely eliminate the problem..... passive air movement.... or even Gable vents if its built that way......

$20 bucks and a sawzall....

Maybe one of these snow globe thingies will work.  Take a look at the picture in the first post in this thread.....

Note that it is a Harley Davidson item.

But IMHO, you need to raise the ambient temp in your shed to cure your condensation problem.  Perhaps a small portable heater with a thermostat.

Your bigger concern should be condensation in the tank.
That's why it's advised to fill the tank completely up before you store the motorcycle. Fuel conditioners won't help you if condensation forms on the wall of the tank. Rust is an issue too.

Thanks for all the replys .Keeping the air moving is best plan. The tank is full and stabil in the gas . If I can get through this year I'll be ok . I'm going to start thinking about building  a garage . It's going to be 60 tomorrow so she will get warmed up then . Come on spring. Bought the fat girl first week of October and this winter has been harder than most.

That is my bike. I keep it in the garage during the winter months. I also like to work out there on other projects during the winter. The balloon has several advantages. I bought it from the Harley dealer (that's why it say's Harley Davidson). It is for their largest bike, and the Valkyrie is a tight fit. I think it was one of my better functional buys for the bike at just a little over $200.
 1) No condensation
 2) it stays clean. When I take it out in the spring its just as clean as when I put it away the fall before.
 3) Nothing can get to it. No critter hotel, here.
 4) if something falls against it, it doesn't hit the bike. It just bounces off.

A trouble light with an incandescent bulb placed under the bike will also help. Just don't forget to turn it on.  Wink

You shouldn't have to worry about the chrome and paint surfaces.

They are well able to withstand all moisture that will condense.

Ventilation is a good response.

I like that bubble!

I think I'll keep a fan on it when it's above 40 . It was in the low 60's here today , did get in a 60 + mile ride. Thanks again for all the replies.

Amazon has a motorcycle bubble for $299. Think it was 54" wide by 8'.
