Is there a way to change the fork oil with out disassemling the whole fork. The fork is off the bike can't I just remove the bolt that goes up from the bottom and drain the oil?

A bolt goes up from the bottom ? Hmm. I just set 'em upside down and let them drain.

The bolt on the bottom (right fork only) is the lower mount for the dampner inside the tube. Oil is drained by removing the top and pouring it out. Replace the fork back in the triple tree and tighten the "lower" tree pinch bolts. Use a 15/16" box wrench and loosen the fork top. Then take the fork back out and dump the oil.
