I need a sealing washer for the bottom housing after I pull the plug to drain the coolant, and a sealing washer for the oil drain and the final drive drain along with the o ring for the final drive fill, where is the best place to order these from?  Also wondering if there is a option for coolant other than the quarts from Honda?  I have 2 quarts of the Honda on hand, but it looks like I need 3 more, but I would entertain something else that is cheaper if it is available?

Thanks-
Scooby

I've changed my engine and final drive oil many times and never changed the crush washers.  I've only changed coolant once (to put in Evans NPG+ coolant) and didn't change that crush washer either.  None of these have leaked.

Take your washers to the local auto parts store and match them up with what's in the store. I used the supertech anti-freeze, as long as you find silicate free stuff you will be fine.

Plus 1,  I use prestone premix, don't add any water.  I change it every 50,000 miles.  Hoser  cooldude

The sealing/crush washers don't cost much even at a Honda dealer.  Buck and half or so.  Much cheaper on line, but with shipping?  My dealer has all those in stock all the time.

Last year, when I was looking at anti-freeze,  I was thinking about using the premix 50/50 stuff, after after talking to a long time motorcycle mechanic, I used the full strength anti-freeze and diluted it myself.

If you test the 50/50 right out of the bottle you don't get the protection you would expect. Seems like 50/50 is a little optimistic.  Get the full strength stuff, you get two gallons of real 50/50 for less than two gallons of the 50/50 premix.  Just my 2 cents.

Checking the ph of the coolant that's presently in the radiator and maintaining it at the correct level (ph) is probably better preventive care than screwing with new stuff all the time.

Less expensive too!

The Honda ready to use coolant is $7.50 a qrt at my local Honda dealer. I think it takes 4 qrts.
Is it really that expensive to you? Seems a reasonable cost for something that you KNOW is the right stuff & lasts a long time.
IMHO.

Go to the Honda car dealer and buy a gallon from them.
It is the same stuff and cheaper.

I put in waterless Evans permanent coolant.  Yeah it's expensive, and you need to get the prep fluid too.  But it eliminates coolant maintenance and prevents corrosion and once you've bought it - you're done forever.  Check out Leno's video on it:

He suggests watching his first report on Evans.  Here it is:

Anybody know of a Evans Coolant dealer in Canada? Contacted a couple listed on Evan's web site but some don't carry it any longer and others never got back to me.
