Didn't want to hijack WDAN's thread, so what bulb is being used to replace burnt out bulbs in the front turn signal assembly? Tried 2057, looks to bright on one side, didn't want to install just one, two may be too much current draw.

2057 is a higher wattage 1157. The base is the same but 2057 will be brighter and hotter.  Bulb: No. 1157, 12V, 32/3 CP should be the cross over.  I don't know if the load or heat is an issue on the bike.

1157 BAY15d bayonet light bulbs, will replace the following bulb size: P21/4W 1016 1034 1076 1130 1154 1158 1493 2057 2357 2397 7528, etc.

I use the 1157LL, the LL is for long life. Found they lasted much better in the old goosenecks I used to pull. They're supposed to have a little thicker filament to achieve this? Not sure, but they worked for me.

I went with LED clusters from Customer dynamics.

https://www.customdynamics.com/honda_turn_signal_led.htm

I have the White/Yellow dynamic Ringz in the front (white running light with yellow turn signal) and Yellow/Red Dynamic Clusters in the back (red running/break with Yellow turn signal), the Red center gets two wires ran to running and break light wires and turns them into Run-turn-break without an added module.

I replaced the lenses with clear ones I found on ebay.

Thanks Gentlemen, those 2057's were really hot to the touch. I'll get a couple of 1157's and will order some LED's to try. I want to add more lighting to the rear, the standard is just to narrow for me in the backend.

Eli, you won't do better than these for the money.  In my experience, they outshine the Custom Dynamics clusters and have the advantage of shining out the sides as well directly through the lens.

Buy amber bulbs for clear or amber lenses where amber is required, and red bulbs for red or clear lenses where red is required.

Disco can chime in with comments on their effectivness.

I took a tip off the Tech Board in '09 for non-oem incandescent bulbs and have run 3496 up front and 3497 in the rear since then.  (clear bulbs through oem lenses)

As for the LED upgrades, I can't give an apples to apples comparison.  Brew1brew's look great through the clear lenses and Valkpilot's look great through tinted lenses.

I do, however, give the nod to the SuperBrites for filling the lenses radially.   cooldude

I run the 3496LL in all my blinkers. I figure no longer than a blinker is used heat should not be a problem. I have 4 way flashers on my bike and even they don't seem to get too hot when on.
