Steve set up a meet for New Mexico riders out in the Jemez Mtn's/Springs area at the Los Ojos Cafe to discuss plans for the trip up north next month.
The weather was in the low to mid 60's but we hit rain off and on coming and going. At least I did coming from Los Alamos. I did see several forest rats off in the background, thankfully none on road since visibility due to rain and fog was already poor. It did have the makings for a great pic but the steady rain just didn't permit.
The food hit the spot, the service was ... questionable?
I passed around some home made peanut butter cookies for dessert, some milk would have topped them off.
Turns out, all lunch riders present will pretty much be going up on seperate days so it doesn't look like any planned convoys at this stage.
Here's a handfull of shots from todays run.

Steve and Chuck took us to "The Tunnels" which was a first for me, pretty cool area I might add.

As we headed out, the rain clouds were moving back in so all donned their gear for the trip back.
I hit it again fairly steady off and on for my solo ride home, but only had about 50 miles to go, the others had a bit more.

Lastly, here's a shot of Valle Caldera. The pic really doesn't do it any justice, with the mist, fog and green landscape, it's really quite a view from this area for those of you that haven't had the priviledge.

As luck would have it, shortly after pulling into the driveway the clouds split up and the sun was shining bright!!!
Take care.
