Any one have a pulse generator quit working or working erratic?
If  so, what where the symptoms?????????????

Is there some way that gas can get to the left side  (1,3,5) with little or none
getting to the right side  of the  engine???????????

Defective generators are very rare. If they fail you'll have no spark.
If the bike has been sitting/stored on the side stand only, generally the high/right side carburetors will have the issues.

If either pulse generator quits working, the engine won't start.  The ICM needs signals from both before it will fire a coil.  See my response on the "More Tach Issues" post for more detail.

I'm one of the rare ones who had a PG go bad several years ago.....sympton as you describe...no spark.....but check all other avenues first as it is a rare occurance for sure......I think there is a certain or special tool used to check them someplace in the downtube area in the area under the risers.  Think they run about $80 or so.  Check out the "Archives" under Ignition Pulse Generators for more background / info.
