Going to Inzane. Either want a drivers back rest for my 01 std w/corbin studded seat or some risers that will put me back in the saddle enough to where I can lay back on my lady.  Any help would be appreciated. Also how is back rest, attached?

You could get yourself a Utopia Backrest, it is adjustable for forward and backward position. The risers are however far you want them to pull back, check the specs before you buy them.

Unless your seat and passenger pillion are already designed to accept a backrest, you are out of luck on an off the shelf application.  I chased that rabbit last year and soon discovered that seat hawkers are not in the business of selling improvements to a seat; they are in the business of selling seats.

Now, if you had stock seats, then the Utopia back rest is an excellent option.  Unfortunately, as Utopia clearly states "AVAILABLE FOR STOCK SEATS ONLY!!  WILL NOT WORK WITH AFTERMARKET SEATS!".  Of course, far be it for me to say that the Utopia and/or your Corbin seat cannot be modified to work together.  A man with time on his hands, the right tools and skill sets can do anything. Corbin sells a backrest for their seats. There should be a small cloth patch on the seat that pulls up on velcro. Under it you'll see a square metal socket where the rest plugs into. Look on EBay for a backrest.

I think a lot of us use both a drivers backrest, and taller risers than stock.
Your Corbin solo seat may or may not be set up internally for a Corbin backrest, see above on velcro hole cover of square tube: if it's not there, it's not made for a backrest.)

You can always tie a backpack/sleeping bag/etc on the passenger seat to lean on... not great.  I have a buddy with a Standard who has some kind of big black cordura T-Bag that slips over the sissy bar, sits on the back seat (not the luggage rack), and has a built-in backrest pad to lean on, he says it's good.  Works for trips not so good for everyday.

Like this but bigger.  http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motorcycle-Dual-Dutry-Tombstone-Sissy-Bar-Bag-WITH-Driver-Backrest-T-Bag-NEW-/251102013931

http://wingstuff.com/products/3904-t-bag-driver-backrest-style-luggage-bag?sitesync=done

These give max pullback and rise with no other changes necessary (other than turning the handlebar wire clips around 180*),  bolt right up.  Pad tank!!

AeroMach makes the same ones. (more expensive)

My fold over Utopia driver backrest fits fine on my Diamond custom seat.  I have seen them on Ultimate seats a lot also.  There are small builders who make backrests that bolt to the front of the rear seat at on ebay frequently also. Hoser.

I have a Bestem backrest that I will make you a deal on. I bought it 1 week ago. I feels really nice and looks great. The problem is me. I am disabled and it is really hard for me to get my leg across the seat to get on the bike. It was much easier to just swing my leg over the seat. You can pull them up on Google. It bolts under the factory passenger seat. It really looks like a quality product. I would take $50.00 plus shipping. Thanks, Randy

Look at a Utopia back rest. They fold forward and out of the way sort of. While not completely down and out of the way on my I/S the backrest rest is level-when down-with the passenger seat. I won't say bitch position cause we got divorced.  2funny  cooldude There are certain days that i need to grab my right leg for a little added boost getting on my Phatt Gal.  Grin Find someone in your area with a Utopia and have a look at it.  Wink RIDE SAFE.

I had one of those, before I got my utopia, it worked fine, except no fold down. Hoser

Come on, don't tell me you geezers cant get your leg over the seat.

Good subject for an Inzane tech session.

It's as easy as this.

Or this (hard on the bells though)
