Bikers don't need shrinks!

Chuck asked a good question about riders who aren't able or desiring to volunteer and I thought I would paste those details here as most folks are just riding and not volunteering.  Others are volunteering and riding and already have their instructions.  Anyway, here is the answer (summarized) on what to do and where that includes Wanderer's good reminder about the VRCC top club placement that gives special parking and riding placement.

To ride, show up Sunday at the tent at the South East corner of Grapevine Mills Parking area during registration between 8 - 9:45.  Jeff reminds us to tell the parking crew that you're with the top club and they will direct you where to go (to be assured of getting top club parking and placement, you probably need to be there by 9 as it gets really busy after).  Register. Drink coffee & have a donut if you get there early before the wolves get to them. Look at all the bikes. Ride. Eat lunch and enjoy the lunch program.

Jeff's point about the VRCC getting special recognition as last year's top club for donations is a great one.  With some other clubs coming on strong this year and my donations being split this year, we, the VRCC have some work to do if we're going to retain top honors.

Hope to see a lot of you there.  I think you'll be glad you came!

Gary

ps  If you're interested in helping with that competition and keeping VRCC on top, go to www.firstgiving.com/pbtfus and take 5 minutes to set up a free online donation site for the DFW ride. Then, take another 5 minutes to send a short email to everyone you know and ask for some quick help with donations to sponsor your ride.  Several folks have gotten hundreds of dollars in donations this way in less than 24 hours and two folks have exceeded the $1,000 mark in 24-48 hours using this method. It can also quickly get you over the $300 mark and get you a ticket for the drawing for the new motorcycle.  Every $300 gets you another ticket for that drawing, which also includes a set of new tires and a new helmet for prizes.

Hope to see you in the morning.  Have several Valk riders volunteering and appreciate that very much.  We're a little short overall and if you have volunteered previously and could come early (6:45 - 7:00), that would be great.  It's going to be a beautiful day to ride.
