Totally impressed. Did the +4 trigger wheel first and liked it (file method on stock TW). Added the I/S ECM last night and LOVE it. No dyno, just butt. But the low end response is amazing, have to hold her back getting on the fwy, and takes little throttle to get around I have to be super careful at low speed, like learning to ride all over again. Cruising on the fwy just takes a feather of throttle. Still haven't done the I/S carb springs. One thing at a time.

Glad it works for you!! I had that on my 97 and went to a 6 trigger wheel, dyno jet kit on #3 , Carb springs and K&N filter , polished intakes 90% and wow what a difference !

I had wow results too. 6 degree trigger wheel, shimmed needles, Interstate springs, K&N filter without pre-filte, shimmed tank, glasspacks and truckstacks.

the stock ECM at high RPM gives all the advance needed. The valks can take a lot of advance down low in the RPM. I didnt realize the 6 degree wheel I ran would at supralegal highway speeds would cause pre-ignition and then running out of gas in 60 miles with my standard. That couldn't have been good for the motor but it seems to run fine after I went back to stock....and a DYNA 3000 that advances down low but leaves it stock at higher RPM's

I'm running premium just in case. Haven't pulled the plugs yet to check for detonation. Sure doesn't sound or feel like it but could be inaudible.

I couldn't hear anything pinging on mine either but I run an open exhaust if you run the archive on the dyna 3000 it shows all the ignition curves and the advances .... below 5k RPM or so you are probably ok I think ..... that low end twist really did give me some superb rolling burnouts...

I have I/S springs, shimmed needles, K & N with prefilter, & glasspack exhaust installed on the '97. I am going to add an I/S ECM but leave the stock trigger wheel. I don't want to run 93 octane gas. Should I expect good results with the I/S ECM but stock TW?

Running a 6 degree wheel, no shimming on the needles, stock springs, and all stock jetting on my '02. Horseapple exhaust. runs great on 89 octane.
