So I have taken my rear wheel off and ,not being in a hurry, doing rear end maintenance. i measured my rear brake rotor and it measures .235 on thickness. the clymer shows a wear limit of .24 as minimum thickness for replacement. Any thoughts? By the book , I should go ahead and replace. What y'all think, any recomendations for replacement?

Looks like your ready for a new one. Me, personally, I would use Honda parts, but that's just me. I put a EBC rotor on the front of my IS to replace a bent one, and it worked OK, but, if it sat 30 min. after a rain, it would show rust. Just my observation cooldude

I ordered and used an EBC for the rear, but found that even with the EBC pads it was noisy.  I switched to OEM pads and all is good AND quite.

Before I Triked MGM out, I had EBC rotors all the way around.

Lot of people say they squeak and squawk.   With my EBC Rotors and pads.  No noise what so ever out of them after they were seated.   It took like 1,000 miles for them to seat in.

Another thing, ALL pads we installed in the shop were sprayed on the back with Anti rattle noise.    This was sprayed on the EBC pads on MGM.

Hey RJ, what is the recommended type of rotor from ebc? crazy2  I've looked and it seems there are many different ones from which to choose.

I am informed you can also use Gold Wing rotors (cheaper).  They are a bit thinner, but will supposedly last as long as Valk rotors.
