Finally got my new (to me) Tourer saddlebags mounted today! I had to repair the lid and a crack in the body of one of the bags. I'm so happy I went with bags/mounts made for the Valkyrie. Everything fit perfect and for $430 shipped I couldn't pass on them!  Grin

Bike with Tourer bags.

Tell me the truth, do they make her butt look big?    2funny

Old Leather Bags - Any body know what these might be worth?

Bags wouldn't fit with the trailer hitch. I've never pulled a trailer and basically decided against ever using it, so it's gone now. Anybody want to mess around with it? It's a home made design. I had it fabricated at welding shop and powder coated. $100 obo

Great job, Jim!  Looks great!

Re the repair work, did you do it yourself?

Hi Dave,
Yeah, did the repairs myself. I've had good luck roughing-up the ABS and them laying fiberglass cloth/resin on the inside. The bag just needed to be clamped together. The crack was along the front seam to the bottom of the bag. It's still visible if you look for it, but not very noticeable. The lid was a little tougher. I had to rebuild/sculpt the hinge mounting point in fiberglass.

The Fairing is a very old Harley Panhead(?) Vintage I found in a pile of junk at a swap meet - $40 only because the guy saw my expression when I found it.  Shocked It was cracked and really rough - needed a lot of work. The mounting brackets were pricey on ebay, and needed to be modified to fit the standard windshield mounting bracket and not hit the tank. Paint was a Rustoleum & Roller experiment that turned out passable, but not great.
