Why not just put the 2 wheels together and align the teeth. Then file 1/2 the difference of the key. Should be about 1/32"

One thing havent seen where can order 4 deg wheel. Only 6.
Good idea on putting the two together. and take half the dif. By running the 6 in my I/S seems maybe to have more whine noise. Plus good take off but drags down on inclines. Would that be the case with the 6 in the I/S?

ok thanks for the links. I have the stock so filing should be same right?
Also would the degree wheels take away from top end? As I stated before. Seems like the 6 I have in now. I have less pull on hills. More throttle needed and not much power on hill sides.Would that be the case?

These engines do not like a lot of advance, about 27º tops. I prefer the tooth profile of the original wheel rather than the aftermarket.

So you think would be best to just go back with the orig.? 4 wouldnt make that much dif.? Would i be able to tell much dif. going from 6 to stock? I have ran the 6 for prob. 50K. But said seems to lag on hills and may be getting noisier or my imagination. One reason my son was here when I started it up. He said that seems like alot of noise from engine. Got me wondering with 100K now.

Personally I feel that 6º is too much, but, some [ like you] have used them for years without any apparent ill effects. The main thing I have noticed is hard cold weather starting and some have a high pitched vibration.

Just leave it stock with the IS module installed .... I have run it all 3- ways, and the To-Jo Honda wheels are better.  If you are bound to change it, then buy a 4-degree wheel new instead of filing the stock one down.

What's the problem with filing the stock one?

100k you may need new timing belts and check the bearings in the tensioners. I had one go out with only 14k on it. The tensioners can be easily rebuilt using a car idler pulley for around $25 verses $80 each. I did one where I posted pictures on this site as well as do the google. It will pull up the goldwing article that I used.
