Agreed... I am sad to say, I did not know Pat well... but I did meet him a time or two... and he was an ancient soul.  Always kind and forth coming to me.  The very first interchange I had with him he tried to give me something.  In retrospect, I wish I had accepted his offer.

It is good to see his image stamped here.  Nice to know he is remembered.

Anyone know how TexasDeb is doing... she is also a good soul.

Me, too.  Hard to believe it's almost been a year.

And, I noticed the other day that my guardian bell has fallen off.  It had been tied to my engine guard since '08 with a piece of leather Pat cut from the cinch on his vest.   Cry

Ride safe, Pat.

I expressed interest (on this board) about a trip to Minnesota.

Pat PM'ed me.... and a few weeks later we were off on an adventure to the Great White North.....

You would not believe the thunderstorm that hit us in Des Moines....

At a fuel stop, Pat declared, "Well, the bad clouds are on our left, we are heading north, so we SHOULD be OK!"....... wouldn't you know it, a few miles later the road took a nasty turn to the left......

A lightning bolt split in mid air and landed on each side of the road, and then heavy, heavy rain..... we took the next exit and ended up at this great restaurant... Good food, fire blazing.. A place we would have probably driven past.... What a GREAT RIDE!!!!!

As long as we remember him, he's not really gone.   I still have the ribbon from the memorial ride, thus Pat rides with me whereever I go.

Just came across the Texas VRCC webpage and you guys still have Laser Pat on the front.  Had a tear fall from my cheek.  Hard to believe it has been almost a year.  Sure do miss exchanging Pm's with him.  One of the nicest guys I have met. I still have the scotch tape residue on my windshield from taping his picture on my windshield.  I can't seem to "try" and get it off, makes me think of Pat every time I ride.  I don't care what it looks like to anyone else.  It's an analogy to Pat's life.  "Meet him once and he will leave an impact in your life forever."   So the tape isn't coming off anytime soon and I don't care what others say  cooldude

Hope you are having a time of your life Pat cause we are doing our best!
