Hey guys,
By doing the research here it appears that this tire is the same width as the E3. Is it safe to assume that if a first time darksider would try this tire the nut cage mod would not need done? I ask this because I am using the leatherlyke bags that require those nuts to be back there for their mounting studs.

Can any Austone users confirm this assumption?

Thanks,

From looking at the tire on my bike, I have PLENTY of space, but my mods were done before I installed the tire.

However, I have heard several say that it is NOT needed with the Austone.

The nut cage mod does not remove the nut.  It is too simple not to do it.
