Go Pro trip to Wally Worldpowered by Aeva

I could stand some feedback from you Go Pro vets as to where good mounting spots on the bike can be found.

Basically, that's too cool  cooldude

Where did you hook the camera? I like that you can see the whole
bike, and rider too...

I just bought mine a couple weeks ago.
I tried to use it on the way up to Gettysburg.  However, when I thought I was turning it on at the beginning of the ride....I was actually turning it off.  So I did not get ANY video on the whole ride.  That sucks.
I have mounted it high on the windshield when I first got it to see if it really worked.  It did work well.
I mounted it behind the windshield and took a ride with the SCRC this past weekend.  It worked fine.  I got a lot of good video.  However, there is a lot of "ghost" images from the reflection off the windshield.  This is not a good place to mount it in my opinion.
I went out for an afternoon ride a couple of days ago.  I mounted it on the edge of the windshield (at the 3:00 position) with a 90 degree set up with the suction mount.  It worked great in that position.  I could see the blinking light in the view finder so I know it is recording.
Another thing.  I bought the 5 mega pixel with the wide angle lens.  I do not like the "fish eye" effect it gives the image.
Here is the first time I used the camera after I bought it.  You can note the position of the camera in the shadow.
Test with new Hero 5 Go Pro camerapowered by Aeva

Hope this helps.
Ride safe

As you can see, I have my Sony mounted w/ ram mounts behind the shield. Glare is always a prob so therefore the Go Pro. I had the same prob testing today. Thought I was in vid mode, was in 2 sec still mode. When it's below and behind you, it gets interesting fiddling with it as I cruise down the road. Can't mount on my helmets, both chin bar flip ups. Maybe on the side, I'll check later on that one.

I'm not a Go pro, wish I could be, but I'm just not.

But I'd say that moutning it on the saddle bag has worked well for you. Looks like you've put it on a saddle bag rail or on the passenger floorboards, which is workign well in this video.
Cool.

Even when I'm just riding around by myself with my digital camera I like that shot angle.

the reverse is also good

Love those down low shots. cooldude
