I mounted a new Clearview Windshield recently and can't get used to it.
I had a 17" Sport previously and it worked well and I looked over it. I ordered the 19" Short this time and it's like I'm wearing bifocals, it's right in my line of vision. I looked at the web-site trying to determine what they are made of? I know it's a different material than the OEM, anyone know?
I want to cut it down, and want to know the material before I start. Don't want to butcher a new windshield.

Check with the company, they might cut it down for you.  I cut my Hondaline shield about 4 inches and it came out good except it is about two inches too short.

Hey Doug, get a pillow.  2funny

Seriously...while sitting on the bike, find the spot/line where you want the top of the shield to be and mark it, then measure up from the headlight opening. Tape it up real good, blue painter's tape works good, measure and mark again, then scribe a line that parallels the top of the shield. Years ago I made a simple doodad for that. I used an old wooden ruler, drilled a hole in one end just barely big enough for a wood pencil. Set the pencil on the mark and tightened a small 2" c-clamp on the ruler right where it protruded above the shield. Then all you had to do was drag the clamp along the top of the windshield and the pencil would make a parallel line on the tape.

Sound's like the new belt I bought last year. Cut it off 3 times and it's still too short.

Try tilting it back and it'll lower the top a bit. Make a bracket 1" between the holes (center to center).
