Hi Guys,

Does anyone know waht size the 8 and 10 mm spacers are between the fender rail and the saddlebag mount. I think I read somewhere they are a 1/4 inch.

For a reference they are parts 38 and 39 in the microfiche diagram below.

The previous owner had a hitch doc on there and I am ordering the bolts so I have the correct length but dont want to order the spacers if they are the same as the 1/4 inch I already have.

Thanks in advance

If I understand your ? correctly and po installed the hitch correctly you have the spacers you need...  The hitch doc takes 2 extra spacers for a total of 4

I have taken the hitch off. The bolts on there now are two long without extra spacers to compensate for the missing hitch. I want to return it to stock and buy the original bolts. It sounds like based on your response. I just reuse the 1/4 inch spacers (already on there) with the original bolts which I will order tomorrow. My goal is not to order the spacers or what honda calls collars if they are the same as the 1/4 inch ones I already have.

The spacers are not that short on my Interstate.

I couldn't get a tape measure on them and can't say the are the same length.

They are at least 1/2" and could be 5/8"

It looks like the front ones are maybe longer than the rear spacers and the front ones are the larger bolts, at least that is how it appears.

Hope this helps you.

The item description lists them as 15mm long which is equal to 0.590551181 inches.

Instead of bolts, make up a bag drop kit out of all thread and nuts. Then you can easily remove the bag mounts.
