I'm ready to install my new (non-vacuum) Pingel. I removed the gas tank and the stock petcock has a fuel line and two, smaller hoses connected to it. The Pingel only has a connection to the fuel line. What do the other (small) hoses do and what am I supposed to do with them?

Those were the hoses that feed vacuum to the OEM petcock, the other was a vent hose.

On mine I removed them from the other end and then either capped or plugged where they came off of.

If you don't put on the Dan Marc solenoid, make DAMN sure ya turn the gas off whenever you turn the motor off.     If you don't you stand a very good chance of filling a few cylinders with GAS.    NOT good on starter gears.

It is commonly called Hydro Lock.

The OEM petcock should only have a fuel line (big hose) and a vacuum (small hose) thats it.  If you have 3 hooked to the petcock thats not normal.

All you should have to do is connect the fuel line with a clamp because the pingel fuel nipple is smaller and then cap off intake nipple #6.  Done.

that 3rd line should attach to a vent pipe near the rear of the tank. yes it will have a T fitting a little way down that has one side not connected to anything. it is a vent hose with a vacuum break.

Do you have a link for the solinoid RJ? I'm in the process of replacing a motor due to Hydro Lock and would rather not repeat the process. Already have the Pingel petcock.

Done!
One fuel hose.
One vacuum hose to #6.
One vacuum hose from rear of tank.
Yeah I had lost track of the hose on the back of the tank.
Took the bike out to fill the gas tank and it seems to work ok. No leaks.

Would you mind posting it? It seems like a good idea that I might consider.
