Can you over lubrcate them? I mean adding enough molly grease to coat eeverything. The manual calls for amounts in grams. Is a liberal coating good enough?

I doubt anybody measures to the gram. If you overlube them, the rear drive unit will spit grease out the O rings. It'll show up on the wheel and drive unit. Just wipe it off and don't use so much next time the wheel is off. BTW: Use Bel Ray waterproof grease. The Honda paste doesn't last. BR Grease is readily found in auto stores.

I like the Bel Ray assembly lube for the rear splines. Regular grease for the shaft and pinion cup.

I once had so much grease around the flange that it couldn't seat quite all the way. I had to remove some before I could get everything back together.

I use valvoline moly and if I put to much on I know it after the 1st ride. All over my rim.  crazy2
