Rode the wife's Shadow tonight before the rains moved in. It runs!!!

Still have to add the cat-eye tail lamp, move the rear signal lamps back to the stock position then fab up a cool looking '70's chopper style sissy bar. I guess I'll keep the stock seat on until I can find a decent solo seat. No more two-up riding for the little Spirit.  Shocked

As you can see the red 'n white has taken it's place on the table.... next I gotta fix the bag damage from our Bike Week "incident".  Angry

Been busy & still have more projects ahead.  Shocked

It's a 2005, Kim's first bike. It has been with her brother in Melbourne for 3 years & it was very apparent that he wasn't keeping it in a garage. It was nasty looking. Got it back after a wreck. Gonna keep it around for short trips & maybe some 60 mpg work commutes.  cooldude

Hey Eddie, I think John has a really cool tail light from that 1200 he's working on....Might let it go pretty cheap!  cooldude

Got bored & went out to the garage. Found some old 1/2" steel square tubing laying around & went hmmmmmm. I was going to get some 1/2" round bar tomorrow before I left for the Chiefland Q but I started fartin' around with the square stuff. Measured & marked the center point then started to see how cold bending it would look. Used the jaw of my bench vise & it started to come out pretty nice.
Bent it... eyeballed it...bent it some more.... eyeballed it again.... Hmmmmm. not bad. Whacked it a few times with the rubber mallet to get it straight then test fit it against the little store bought one that was on the bike.

Now I have to make some mount plates & finish it up a bit.

I have an old tank emblem that I think would look cool on the back of the bar towards the top.

I'll fool around with it tomorrow when I get back from the Q.
