I have a set of Leatherworks wide Pony Express saddlebags, and I've opted to go with a traditional yoke instead of bolt on easy brackets. I need to get some supports to keep the bags out of the rear wheel. I figure it stands to reason not all saddlebag supports are created equal, but I have no idea where to start. Was thinking of maybe going with the Cobra brand supports. Any recommendations?

I would try to get your hands on a set of the OEM leather bag supports that Honda uses to mount there OEM soft bags like these with the bottom support they are much better than the flat chrome ones

You will be able to have a far more secure mounting of your bags and you won't need to hassle with your seat.
