I've been reading about the desmog process and ordered the shiny desmog kit online.
My assumption was that the kit contained everything I would need, but some posts that I've read suggest that I will be needing some additional gaskets.
Is this correct, and if so, which ones?

The kit I bought had everything with it.  The gaskets were included and they even included an extra one in case we screwed up.  Fordmano from the board here helped me install it.

It was easy to actually install. Other than my lack of reading comprehension...LOL!

Everything was included in the kit that Mike got.

Just did the desmog with that kit over the weekend. Everything you need in included as well as a few extras. Go over the instructions carefully a couple of times before you start. The first time I read them I thought I wouldn't be able to do the job. After several readings it all sorted itself out and became pretty straight forward.

Great! Thanks guys -  nice to know I won't be looking for extra parts while in the middle of doing this.
I'm feeling more confident by the minute.

+1 you don't get new intake Orings with that kit. Your going to remove the intakes and it would be prudent to replace the Orings. IMO  Roll Eyes
