So the trials keep coming on my motor replacement saga.A friend had come over yesterday to help and we were making progress until we got to that water pump. The unit in the Pinwall replacement was badly corroded so I removed the one off my old unit. One of the cover bolts snapped off so I figure no big deal drill it out and use an easy out on it. Wrong the easy out snapped off inside the bolt. Any idea on where to go from here?

Sometimes you can chip out the easy out, if you're lucky. Hardened steel so it's hardly drilled out as you probably know. I've heard that there are hardened drill bits that can do damage to an easy out but I've never done it. Sometimes you can spot weld a nut to the top of the broken off bolt and then back it out with a wrench. Until then I'd be soaking the threads with liquid wrench or the like. That's all I've got.
