I have read posts pointing to the use of Goldwing final drive units being used. Does this change the gear ratio? What results are seen in RPM at highway speeds and fuel mileage?

same ratio.  only parts are being used, a GW FDU cannot be used on a valkyrie due to bolt up differences.

only ways to lower RPMs are with a larger car tire or the later 97-00 GWs 4th and 5th gears.
I've posted the ratios before, a search should bring them up.
