Yes another day of 90 deg. weather but not a reason NOT to ride. 0700 hrs Moonshine on her ride and me on mine headed north to our playground in Mississippi. On the way we meet up with Saurian (Monty)  and on we went.
Arrived at the Warlock's lair and he did his magic on two dragons for about 40 min. Man can that man move. So after all riding gear was adorn the 4 monsters were fired up and into the wind we went.
Hot wind was the taste of the day but it is a testing day for the new Valk pilot Moonshine.
She has logged some miles but not on a day of melting asphalt or the amount of miles and hours at the end of the day.
Once again the Warlock, a master at laying out a good ride, had us whipping through the country side of his enchanted state. On the way we stop for a local feast of one of the best burgers and cajun fries this old boy has thursted into his gulet. It was nice to take a break out of the global warming we were caught in.
After all the traveling in the Magnola state with the Warlock he does not fail to all ways show us new roads on his magic carpet rides.
But like I said this was a testing day for Moonshine and she did us proud. To see her at the gas stops with wet dripping hair....soggy shirt and draining boots of liquids would do the term MAN UP words that would sound loud on a day like this.
To me this would be the funny memory of the day. At one of the carbon foot print  stops an elderly man while heading into the store stopped to say " how you guys doing ". Not rare except he was looking at Moonshine and she said " fine but I'm not a guy "  She still had her full face helmit on and shades and jacket the old guy stopped...looked at her...at the bike...at her...at the bike and you could see the huge question mark forming at top of his head and on he went still looking back. I know how he feels to see a lady Valk pilot handlimg these beast and my hat his off to all the lady pilots out there.
Well at the end of the 9 hour, 99 deg and 270 mile day I can proudly say she was a real champ. Never did I hear her say it was to hot or slow down. She drove a big boy hot day at big boy speeds on local big boy roads.....Ride on Darlin...Ride on.

Good ride report Bird. As he stated Moonshine did great. And yes it was a hot one. Bird also did a great job of being patience (which isn't his strong points) laugh with Moonshine. We had a great ride and looking forward for many more miles. Moonshine was right behind me and everytime I looked in the mirror in the curves she took them with no problems.

Even though it was D*** hot I sure had a WOOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOO time.

It really feels GREAT to be in the front seat for a change. I enjoyed every hot day of this ride today. Closer to traveling out of state. I tell ya, it feels just like it did when I use to ride at 15. As ya'll know...words can't explain how it feels to be a piolt on a VAlk. Never thought this day would be here, even though I dreamed about it a lot.

Never a minute goes by while I'm on Free Spirit, that the training course I took is always on my mind.

LOVING IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!         cooldude    cooldude     cooldude    cooldude

If your ever down Magnolia way. Warlock can show you some rodes to ride. Thanks Warlock.

Thanks Babe for the words.

It felt good to be in a group ride.

I hear ya on the warm weather riding!
Did a Florida coast to coast ride last weekend on one of the hottest days of the year.
Had a blast! Never saw a Bank temp sign less than triple digits all day.

The Gulf in the morning.

The Atlantic in the afternoon.

The Summer rocks!
