OMG....what a wonderful weekend!!!  Weather was good, roads were safe, and the miles were gobbled up.

Nothing like a 2000 mile ride for awesome BBQ and great friends...right?  Jon and I just made it home.  When we left St. Louis on Thursday, we had overcast skies and cold temps...like low 40s.  Those stayed with us until we hit Little Rock when the sun finally came out.  We arrived in Houston Friday afternoon and hung out with everyone at HotGlue's.  We had an awesome ride on Saturday led by HayHauler.  We ended up at Surfside Beach where we were able to take pictures of our bikes on the beach.  Needless to say...I did.  The weather for the weekend were uncharacteristic for Houston (at least for all of the times I have been down there).  In other words...it was absolutely fabulous.

Jon and I left out for home Sunday morning.  We rode under clear skies and mild temps.  We rode up through eastern Oklahoma and actually found some mountains over there.  Who would have thought??

After spending a night with my Dad in Arkansas, Jon and I headed out for home.  We rode up through the mountains on Hwy 7 in patchy fog.  Once we got through the mountains, it was just overcast and cool.  W never hit any rain, but it sure did feel like it could at any moment.

Jon and I are a little sore...and the bike is FILTHY...but overall, it was well worth the trip.

Thank you VERY much for the great time Hotglue and Flamingo_Babe.  As always...most gracious host and hostess.  And EXCELLENT food.  Mark...you are the man with the smoker.  It was also great to see all of my Texas friends and my out of state friends who also made the trip down.

I have a few pictures from the ride on Saturday to post.  I will do that later this week.

Looking forward to next year.  Can't wait!
