Just got a Red & Black '99 Interstate with <30K.  I've put about 600 miles on it in the 6 days since I got the plate on it.  So far it is as good as I expected.
I had rented one when I was in Ca. for business 10 years ago and fell for it but, had just bought a '99 Nomad.
Just wanted to introduce myself and warn you that I am going to have lots of ??.  I already looked through the Tech stuff and there is some really good info there.

Welcome, Ferris... I am # 2345... the black sheep in the family.  On my third Valk now... 98 Tourer, 2000 Interstate, and now a 1997 Tourer in Singapore.  Fine bike.  I'm kind of biased... but... YA DONE GOOD BUYIN' THAT VALK!  Super grin factor.

You need to make some time just to ride.
Skip work, ride the Valk, call it "Ferris Leets Day Off"!
