Want a chance to win a new 1800 Wing while helping some kids with cancer?  Come go with us to the Houston area Ride for Kids.  This year, anyone who preregisters online gets a ticket in the drawing for the new Wing (must be present to win).  There is also a $10 pre-registration discount to help folks pull the trigger and try the online registration.

Going to be heading to Humble (north of Houston) Saturday for this event on Sunday.  We'll be leaving the Collins bakery in Corsicana at 10:30 Saturday morning for a backroad run down to Humble by way of lunch in Crockett. I'll be at the bakery earlier than that to get some of their famous goods for breakfast.  So far, we have 4 definitely going, representing Kansas City, Richardson, Colleyville and Azle. Also have one from Mansfield who is heading down Friday and will make the trip back with us Sunday immediately following  the RFK.

We'll also be hooking up with Red Diamond, Rocketman and others from points south at the ride and perhaps for dinner Saturday night.

If you have questions or want us to look for you at the bakery or along the way, post here or shoot me a note at

If you are riding  and it is a must that you keep your eyes on the road, you are riding too fast.

Sounds good. By my rough math, we should be hitting Crockett between 12:15, give or take since we'll be on motorcycle time.  If you want to meet, we can meet at the Moosehead Cafe unless there is another place you like to dine there.

Don't think I've ever eaten Moose Head before. Sounds like an interesting place to eat.

I'd love to join ya'll for dinner tonight, but it's my little one's birthday, so we have family stuff going on.  I'll just catch ya'll tomorrow AM.
