Anyone have a "spare" set of rear drive (3)O-rings (1997 Standard) that are willing to send me asap?  I'll pay you for the o-ring set and postage.

I ordered a set to do some spring maintenance and as a matter of course---I can't find them.  The bike work was to fit in between the remodel of a bathroom.  Well the bathroom is almost done and now I have some time to work on the bike:  new timing belts-done, rear bearing mod-done, wheels powerded coated "Mirror Black-done, drive shaft maintenance-done, final drive oil change-done, install new O-rings--NOT DONE.

I'll keep checkin the forum tonight and tomorrow.  If I draw a blank I'll try e-bay and Carolina Bike.

TIA

Jerry,
How old are your O-rings. I have reused mine a few times, but then again I lube the rear splines every spring and only put on 4,000 miles a year.

I have O-rings that can be sent but then again if you contact Carolina Bike and Trike first thing tomorrow you will probably get your new ones the same time as me sending them out. They are quick at getting them out the door.

Let me know what you want to do. I will check back here and my e-mail later this evening.

Brian---the 0-rings were changed three years (new dark side install).  About 12,000 miles since the last rear lube.  I want to install news ones just for peace of mide.

If your able to send them in tomorrow's mail..I will take them and reinburse you for your costs. If not I'll order tomorrow from Carolina Bike and Trike.

Let me know.

thanks

What is your address. As far as expenses just send me replacement O-rings from your order and we are good. I wouldn't reuse those old rings.

JerryH,

If you could provide a location it might help.  I have a set (including the thrust washer).  Indy downtown or south side.

thanks guys for the help.  I ordered a five pack set from Carolina Bike & trike.  As Brian said the delivery time would probably be the same.  That way I'll have some spares in the garage.  There are two other Valk riders in the area who might need the set in the future, so I'll have some spares around for a while.

Thanks again to the board members for offering to help out.  Jeeez..I'm getting withdrawal pains from getting such a late start at riding.  Hopefully this weekend.

I just left you a message with my work number. No problem. Keep the shiny side up.
