Hoosier Daddy called me this evening and told meChopsaw put his new bike down the other day (EDIT: it's a 109). He has a broken right arm and some stitches in his head but other than that he is okay.  The condition of his bike is unknown.  A cage cut him off in some fashion and he dropped the bike to keep from hitting it.  Apparently, the driver drove off but was identified. Not sure about that last part, don't want to start rumors.

Chopsaw hasn't been on the boards cause he can't use the computer.  I'm sure he would appreciate you keeping him in your thoughts.

I just called him.  He is doing okay.  Bruised up pretty badly on his right side. Had to  have surgery on his right wrist.  I really hate that last part.

Chopsaw. heal correctly and as fast as possible.  However, don't rush it too much or you will go into a reverse mode like I did on my knee replacement.  I have been riding for over 60 years, and it put the fear of God in me in real short order.    Now, I'm losing my hand and arm strength, so I might only be riding the Trike for awhile..... coolsmiley tickedoff 2funny

Faithfully do your exercises and Therapy as needed, and prescribed..  It will help you get into  the swing of things the quickest.......

Hope to see ya at the CBR in Sept.

(this is meant to make you laugh)

Take your time in healing, don’t fix your cycle!  Milk your injuries as much as you can, make those nurses work for their money!!  Say something else hurts so your wife (or who ever) appreciates you more, use this to get the family together, maybe a long lost sibling will finally visit!

As for the cycle, don’t fix it, sue the idiot and buy a new bike!  Also, sue them enough to pay for the attorney and to be able to buy yourself some extra chrome!!

Seriously, take it easy.  Take your time.  Get healed.

Guys,  when I talked with Jeff, he said he didn't mind if I passed along his cell number for those who were concerned and wanted to give him a shout... he wasn't going anywhere for a while!  Just remove the X's and you have the number...  I'm sure he'd appreciate a call from a few of you...  Best wishes for his recovery and all...  X317X354X7935X   Again, that's his cell number, so he'll be home and available he figures for a month of recovery from this injury...  Heal fast buddy... He wasn't sure when he' be back to the computer either!   Update on his bike:  he did in fact hit the other vehicle, and they did get the guy...  the C109 is fairly damaged in the front end and bags scuffed, etc..., only 2 weeks old and it is fairly rough, so we think he should have a good case for a NEW bike... Aside from his bodily injuries!   I'll pass your wishes along to him too... Thanks for all of your kind words to him...

Hi all thanx for the well wishes. ya I'll be fine need to see the Doc to see how my right arm is coming along. The guy was stopped at a cross street and I was watching him like I allways do,and at the last second he pulled out. All I had time for was a OH SH--. lucky to be here. hope to ride to the CBR but will have to see how arm is at that time. broke both bones at the wrist, they put in a plate as it was so close to the wrist. otherwise i'm just beat up. more later.
                                                                                       thanx agian  Chopsaw
