Has anyone had to adjust the cable on the seat hold down bracket?

It's always been hard to remove the seat, both the OEM and the mustang, but the ultimate wouldn't come off and I had to pull a side cover and cram a screwdriver into the latch to get it lose.   tickedoff

Doesn't seem to be any adjustment nut on either end of the cable. Undecided

I'm thinking I might have file a little of the ultimate bracket down, but thought I'd check in here first.

Did a search for seat adjustment, but nothing useful came up.

Any one run into this, and if so, what did you do to fix it?

Tia

Does pushing down on the seat while turning the key help?

The only way I have ever seen one adjusted, was cable replacement. Might look at the brackets holding each end of the cable to see if they are bent or warped out of shape. Maybe someone has a better fix than this, as mine always worked perfectly.  cooldude

Fixed it.

Under the frame in front of the seat latch, the cable sets into a slot, in a bracket, welded to the frame.  I just took a socket extension and a hammer and moved it forward a tap or two.  It was stopping the cable from opening all the way and the latch releasing completely.

Easy fix.

Two hours later.
