I am finally started on mounting that blower i bought 2nd hand, with the last
Mikuni carb setup, and
I seem to miss a "chrome breather filter" that is mentioned in Bill's installation manual.
Can someone help me on a part nr, or is there anything specific about that thing i need to buy?

Thanks in advance,
Anthony

Look on the top of your engine case near the back and you'll spy a hose that's about 5/8" diameter coming straight up. This is the crankcase breather hose. Take it down to the auto parts store and find a chrome oil breather filter that will fit. You'll cut down your original hose to about 1-2" long. You may find one that will fit directly on the nipple of the crankcase. The breather will look something like this and is about 1.5" or so in diameter.

That looks exactly like the part i ordered at my local hardware store today.
They had a similar part with small connection in stock, and could order a bigger connection quickly.

Good to know i don't have to be afraid of getting to high and in the way of the airfilter.

Steve B (UK) gave me this part nr : H30087 from a HD, and it looks the same.

Thanks for the info,

Does your air filter look anything like this one? That's what I had with my latest generation blower setup. For me, the filter was inadequate and quickly clogged and caused performance problems and fouling of plugs. I changed my intake system to adapt a larger air filter and haven't had any problems with carburetion since. I mention this because I had to move my crankcase breather to make room for the air intake tubing. I relocated the breather up high underneath the gas tank. It may have fit had I had a crankcase breather that attaches by connecting directly to the crankcase port without any hose.

No, bill delivered one that is a lot bigger, it came with a 'shortened' 90° connection.  I will post some pics tomorrow, about my status and with what i got for upgrade kit.

That is exactly what i was worrying about, and why i asked about the crank case breather originally.
I will make sure it connects directly to the port.

That's great news, I'm looking forward to seeing what you have.
