My volt meter says 12,6 V before start and 14,2 when running ,,,
After adding a set of hedlamps  (55 W x 2), my volt meters say 13,8 when running...

It is pretty much all extras on the bike those 2 lamps,,

is it as expected? ..that 2 x 55 W create this loss...or is it s short cut or somethings ... "tired# generator?

valk standard, 2001 , 120 000 km,, ( 80 000 miles) , original generator

I don't think there is any problem there at all,, things are working just fine. You are getting about the time to check/replace the brushes in the alternator, but I don't think it is causing you a problem at this time. Just to check, leave the headlights on for a couple of minutes with the bike off, then start it and rev it while monitoring the voltage, see if it goes to 14+.

When i do this it goes easily to 14,2 V when those light extra lights are off ...

IF brushes are about to be worn out , does charging suddenly stop or bit by bit?

Should I cancel a 2 week ... 3000 miles ...ride until i got it replaced , you think ?

Hold on Relax,,, how long do you have before the trip???  It only takes a couple of hours to remove to remove the alt. disassemble and check the brushes,,, just for piece of mind.  If you are not up to that level of work, maybe someone is close and can help,, its not very involved just to check .
