I have been looking at Dr. Bobs patient thread about his driveline spline deterioration, and the photo of the transmission output shaft/u-joint end makes me wonder. Quite a few of you fellows have said that since the boot is such a pain to get back on properly that you generally don't uncover the u-joint. My question is; how often do you inspect the grease on the splines on the output shaft/u-joint. Is this something that does not cause as much trouble as the drive flange and PC/drive shaft?

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

I do mine every spring. About 8-10k for the yr. I use to do it every tire change, 10-12k, but since I had the CT for yrs I do it every spring. We take big trips and its a pc of mind.
