Any way I did a silly thing...well sort of and sold my last Valk to buy a Ultra Classic...nice bike but it aint no Valk.................anyway I have been replying to various Ads on the Classified pages, looking to buy another Valk and it amazes me that those who bother to reply are so agressive and well...just plain bloody rude.

That's kinda strange! I would think that if somebody had something for sale, they
would try to be decent to anybody that showed an interest. I know I would. But
maybe they thought you were a spammer....but why would they even bother to
reply to a spammer? uglystupid2

Not defending rudeness, but just 'splaining - Unfortunately there's an EXTREMELY common scam with a non-US buyer showing interest in a US big ticket item:

Spam replies to adds are so common most in the USA don't bother with them at all.

If you want to be sure your replies are taken seriously make it obvious that are real. Tell the person right off you are a VRCC member from down under and not a spammer. Also tell them something particular to our bikes, the exact size in cc's, that red and whites were only made in 199*.

Type with as good of english as you can, I delete all emails that state, "Hello, am George, am looking your product, am sure to buy, am needing......

VRCC member Wolf has a pretty nice black Interstate for sale maybe he'll see this and post some pic's with details...He had it at " The Blue / Gray Ride " and IMO a good buy with the  $7,000.00 price tag he is asking for it in fact I'm amazed someone has'nt already bought it.I'm on my daughter's laptop in Myrtle Beach, SC and the internet is slow here but I'm almost sure he has it in the VRCC classifieds.

You will see lots of sellers from the USA that won't deal with people outside of the continental US.  I live in Canada and amongst other things have purchased two cars and a motorcycle from down there and those deals all went as they were supposed to.

When I brought vehicles to Canada I had to get clearance from US customs to export the vehicle from the US, they require application (copy of the bill of sale and registration) 3 full business days before you come to the border with the vehicle.  This is to protect US citizens and businesses as they do a lien check and make sure that the vehicle has not been stolen before they allow it to leave the country.  When you get to the border you have to have your original title stamped by US Customs before you can leave the country with the vehicle.

When I get replies from people saying that they won't deal with me because they figure I'm a scammer it tells me that they don't have the intellectual wherewithal to be able to conduct a business deal in such a way that their interests are protected.  So be it.

Ifeel much more loved now 2funny.
Anyway there are some real strong leads on some nice bikes and I will be following up on these.
I'm not unhappy with my Harley Ultra but the biggest thing I miss about the Valk is this club and the genuine ones amongst you.
You lot Rock cooldude
Thanks again Guy's.
