Not me. I am partial to the Falken Ziex 512 in 205/65/16 size. That's my $.02. Hay Jimmyt

The Falkin 512 was my first c/t, then went to a Pirelli P4 for 60K miles then couldn't find anything I liked any better than the P4 so I now have 15K miles on my second one.....not fond of the P6 tread design..

Rio, 60k miles? What pressure? I have the Falken, and after 21k miles am thinking 30k tops. At 17k miles last summer... Fred.

Yeah, my Falken did 30K miles and was a good tire, like I said it was my first c/t. The P4 is a great tire, at 42 psi, it ran 60K miles and this included probably 500 miles of gravel road in Alaska as well as many thousands of wet miles across the country without a scary moment in terms of traction and tracking. Think back, I will probably change out this new P4 at about 45K miles because the flat spot starts to be come too wide and its more noticeable in long sweepers, etc. Not bad, just more evident you are on a wide tire. Besides 45K miles is fine with me for mileage from a tire. The wear rating is 780 and I thought it might be a bit hard and or slippery.....did not prove to be a issue at all, I think the siping provides the traction and the harder compound provides the wear characteristics. So, I am quite happy with the tire.

I've used an asymmetrical tire without any problems, but I personally prefer a symmetrical tread. I just think they look better mounted on the bike. I can also envision the possibility of having traction problems in hard braking on wet roads, although I've never heard of an instance of it actually happening.

I went to the dark side about 6 years ago, used Ziex 512 size 205 55 16, running 40 lbs. I absolutly love it, will not go back to a regular bike tire. Try looking on line, last one I bought was $85 delivered to my door. Unless you can mount yourself, you may want to look around for a shop first. Dealerships generally won't do because of liability, local Harley mechanic does mine in his backyard shop. Good luck.

Thanks for the posts guys, and thanks for the link Oklahoma_valk..I ordered a 512..I like the directional tread..I've ran a Triple Tred for several years now on my standard. I hoped to find something not so "beastly". Thanks again to everyone for the posts on a dead horse subject..lol
