I need some advice on the best way to remove the oem grips on my I/S.
It feels like I can just twist the left grip and it wil come loose but not sure about the throttle side, don't want to break anything. Thanks in advance.

On the throttle side, the chrome cap on the end un-screws. Then you can slide the grip off, but it may need a little wd-40 squirted underneath it.

Clutch side pry off the cap, throttle side unscrew.  After caps are off wedge the tip of a blow gun under the edge and  hit it with compressed air, it will twist right off sans any damage.

Here are some pics of removal and replacement with Kury grips.

As another commented, if you do not have compressed air, try WD40.

Mine would not come off, with any method. I cut them off with a razor blade. I know this is not the preffered method, however I got impatiant and they were pretty well destroyed and wheathered anyway. That was when she got her new Kury grips.
