Anybody ever run .095 main jets in a Valk?  What results?  I am asking for a friend who doesn't have Internet access.  Stan

I had my standard rejetted by local dearler after I put glasspacks on it..guy seemed to know what he was doin? claimed to be big into setting up race bikes? he put 98's in mine, so he said...I do not know how he set any other adjustsments..I have a nice even powerband, no dead spots..I think I lost a little gas mileage, but it may because I cant keep from rolling the throttle back and letting her out..lol

Is there a reason why you want to install smaller jets ? The originals are 100 and do tend to run just a tad rich. I think if remember correctly some of the European  bikes are equipped with smaller main jets.

I tried it for several years.  I'm at 5000', so it made some sense to me.  I did not notice any difference here.  But, when I went down to sea level, I did not get that normal increase in power that is so much fun.  Pretty disappointing.

For some history:  I do have the front of my tank raised with a spacer.  That did help take out a flat spot around 5krpm that I had at this altitude.  Maybe without that spacer, the 95's would have worked better at sea level.

Bottom line, I would keep the 100's.

Ran mine on dyno and put his tester in exhaust, said I was lean on the buttom and rich on top..after he was done told me he put in the 98 mains..and gave me the a copy of new dyno run and I picked up 6 hp from the first run when I took it in  ..they supposedly make all the engines the same at the factory, but it seems some do better one way or the other when it comes to adjusting things...or it might be we have a lot of story teller motorcycle owners..lol
