,IM THINKING ABOUT TRYING ONE. IVE ALLWAYS RAN AVONS FRONT AND REAR AND BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THE TRACTION. BUT NOW THE  AVON'S PRICES HAVE WENT THROUGH THE ROOF.. I RIDE AGGRESSIVLY MOSTLY 2-UP WITH LUGGAGE AND AVERAGE ABOUT 9K PER REAR TIRE.
WORKS OUT TO ABOUT ONE NEW REAR PER YEAR AND 1 NEW FRONT EVERY OTHER YEAR .
LET ME HEAR FROM YOU THX.

I think that's the one they call a "battleaxe", if so, lots of people like them... it might
be wide enough that you have to do the "nutcage mod", better find out before
you pull the trigger...

I had one!  It was okay... but it didn't last very long at all.  I went back to Avons.. Which are Ok... but they all seem to get a split across them which scares me... And they get choppy from my quick launches
I was just hanging with a guy who switched to car tires a long while back.  He really likes his Yokohama Avid 205/60/R16's!  Some people are also running 205/ 55s  More tire on the road for better traction and better stopping!  They are cheaper and they will last a lot longer!   I'm tired of changing my tires every year.. So I will make the switch next time around!  BTW.. He says that it handles just fine.. And much better on the black snakes, ruts and grooves that are all over the place here in NJ.

I'll put a plug in for that Yokohama also, an outstanding tire at 42psi.  Very hard to tell the difference between it and a bike tire.  Dragging pegs is a non-issue.
